Bank of America has officially announced the return of its annual More Rewards Day, scheduled for Thursday, November 6, 2025. The one-day event gives eligible Consumer and Business credit cardholders the opportunity to earn automatic bonus rewards on their purchases as the holiday shopping season begins.
According to Bank of America’s data, cardholders have already accumulated $74 million in bonus rewards across the first three editions of More Rewards Day. With this year’s event, total payouts are projected to approach the $100 million milestone, marking one of the bank’s most successful promotional programs to date.
“We’re proud to continue this holiday tradition,” said Lora Monfared, Head of Consumer Card Products at Bank of America. “More Rewards Day celebrates our cardholders by giving them additional cash back, Miles or points during a period when many families are preparing for increased seasonal spending.”
How More Rewards Day Works
During the 24-hour promotional window, all eligible Bank of America credit card customers with rewards-enabled cards will automatically earn extra bonus rewards on the first $2,500 in purchases, including:
- +2% cash back
- +2 points per $1 spent
- +2 Miles per $1 spent
These bonuses stack on top of each card’s standard rewards rate.
New cardholders of the Customized Cash Rewards and Unlimited Cash Rewards programs—who already receive elevated first-year bonus rewards—will earn the additional More Rewards Day bonus as well. This means:
- Customized Cash Rewards users can earn up to 8% cash back in their chosen category
- Unlimited Cash Rewards users can earn 4% cash back on all purchases made during the event
Cardholders without a rewards card will receive 2% cash back as a statement credit, applied to their account automatically.
The maximum bonus per card is capped at:
- $50 cash back,
- 5,000 points,
- 5,000 Miles,
- or a $50 statement credit
Enrollment is not required. Rewards will be applied automatically after the event.
Consumers Turn to Rewards for Holiday Relief
A recent Bank of America survey found that 36% of consumers expecting financial pressure during the holidays plan to use credit card rewards to reduce their costs. With inflation still influencing everyday spending, many households see cashback and loyalty programs as a strategic way to offset seasonal expenses.
All active Bank of America Consumer and Business credit cards with charging privileges on November 6 are eligible for More Rewards Day. Customers with multiple cards will earn the bonus on each individual account.
Members of the Preferred Rewards® and Preferred Rewards for Business programs will continue to receive their usual program bonuses, but these do not apply to the incremental More Rewards Day bonuses.
